Why a person should stand towards north-east direction at the time of brushing?

In olden days it’s been said that one should stand towards northeast direction while brushing. Does the dirt would not go off from tooth if brushing was done on standing towards any other direction. In olden days people used Neem, mango leaves and the stem of medicated plants instead of pastes which we use today. Yes they were the better cleaners of tooth that the toothpaste. Anyway the reason for a person to stand towards the northeast direction is because of the fact that it’s easy for a human being to get the cosmic energy coming from outside the earth if he stands towards the north east direction.
